...in the Dinn Duo household, and I'm right up there with them. With near-completed signatures all over two of my three tables,
a table filled with signatures in the making,
and a fallen-down stack of mini books, it's my usual chaos.
Add to that there's half of the Dinn Duo (aka John) working on a table, creating boxes for the museum.
While it may appear that nothing ever gets done here, that's definitely not the case...
These three books have been completed...well, except for the one on the left which needs some enhancements on the cover before I video a look-through. 😊 Well, so maybe things never do get done - that would make me a typical artist, wouldn't it?
Hope your week has been filled with all sorts of projects and even some completed ones! Do catch me up on what your week has been like in the comments below...
Oh lala! Everything is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEach one more beautiful than the next.
Every time I visit your world, I am almost overwhelmed by your creativity ... All these colors (or not colors), these shapes, and all that side by side make you feel joy.
It must be something to get into your studio, do some people have Stendhal syndrome? : D
I can only applaud and congratulate you, again and again Win.
Hugs.
(PS: Today, you appeared as 'unknown' in the comments of my blog, and the link to your google profile no longer works ...
Do you know what's going on?
But hey, I recognized you my friend :)
Sim, you are so kind...many thanks! Here I am bemoaning my lack of creativity in this crazy time, and you're applauding it.
DeleteAnd although there are no known recording of Stendhal syndrome in the studio, I do know that it takes some people a long time to come back to the world of interaction wtih others. :D
Thanks so much for heads up on the commenting issue, Sim - I'm following up with Blogger; they've already fixed one issue with the Telus email migration I've experienced, so I'm sure they can fix this one too. I'm glad you recognized me. :D xo
Dear Win,
DeleteI'm sorry if I don't always understand what you write so nicely because I'm French. Sometimes when it's too complicated for me, I use the google translator, but if I can, I prefer to avoid; so, sometimes, I think I understand but I did not understand exactly... . Hugs.
Your knowledge of English far outshines mine of French, and the use of Google Translate augments that greatly. You're a delight, my dear friend!
DeleteWow, what a lot of books you've been making lately, Win. It's great to see a table full of bits and pieces, like a production line. It makes you feel so virtuous when lots of things come to their finish at the same time, doesn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, and it's been a struggle during Covid to feel mildly creative, never mind virtuous about it. :D Yippee!!!
DeleteWow Win! I am sooo jealous! What a fabulous collection of signatures! How lovely books completed! I am still trying to find time to make a new journal! Congrats, my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteYou make me smile, Mia - your creative output is prodigious, and you're jealous? Ha! I say. :D
DeleteHa, I beat you to it this week LOL - I mean commenting! These are all wonderful, Win - patterns and colours galore! - and I'm intrigued by John's box making endeavors - I've just got a book on that! Happy Easter! xx
ReplyDeleteNow I've got to go back to your post and see what the heck happened to my comment, Zsuzsa...I was SURE I'd beaten you again. :D Blogger is driving me nuts this week. Thanks for stopping by - I'll be watching for your box output in the coming weeks as you work your way through your new book. Happy Easter right back 'atcha, my friend. xo
DeleteThese papers are gorgeous and your books are the perfect way to showcase them. Nice to see the man of the house getting involved too. I'm busy with some MDF mixed media at the moment but I'm almost there. Have agreat week and a happy Easter. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteBoth of us are always happiest when we're busy bees, and I'm happy to share the studio when he needs it. The museum always loves his contributions, too! I can hardly wait to see what you're up to in YOUR studio - I'll keep my eyes peeled this week. Happy Easter, my friend, with big virtual hugs!
DeleteBeautiful creativity Win💜
ReplyDeleteThanks, Roz, and how lovely that you've stopped by to comment. It's a treat to see you here!
DeleteI was wondering who my "unknown" visitor was! The Blogger link didn't connect to a profile. The word "drooling" should have been a clue LOL! And yes, that means you beat me to it again! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm still working to clean up all the issues with this migration - had I know it would be this difficult, I would have scrapped Telus altogether. It has, however, given some bright spots, and this exchange is definitely one. :D
DeleteDear Win. Been thinking ablut you all day! Love, love, Love. All those bright signatures you have created. I am sooooo jealous. I ade 6 boolets usi g the True Colours quote for my family. Now i spired to get decent awl and start ma,omg some books. However, I will NEVER attain you level of creativity. I can only try..love to you and J.
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear from you Allie, and we've been thinking of you a great deal. Happy Easter to you and all the fam!! I do have to tell you that those signatures (the mostly completed ones) were done 4-5 years ago, but the book was never completed as I didn't have the courage to attempt it. Hopefully I do now! So glad that you got your True Colours booklets done - and yes, you will just keep getting better and better the more you do, my uber-creative friend. Sending love...xoxox
DeleteThose books look spectacular. Looking forward to seeing them in person.
ReplyDeleteWon't it be wonderful when we can actually have some studio time together again, Eileen...we'll all be doing a rowdy happy dance!
