Easter week was a delight...

... as always.

While studio play was sparse, t I managed to get some pen and ink work done on some of the cool colour prints from last week's play.  Any year now, I may get to rip and tear the papers into collages.

It seems I went a wee bit overboard on the house-wrap-stencil circles, so I'll need to get really creative with them to ensure the repetition doesn't bore you all into deep, snoring sleep.

I managed to get another two embroidery thread baskets done so none of the grandchildren would feel slighted over the holiday.

And we had a great time out with the youngest grandchild and his parents at the Kootenay Meadows Spring Turnout.   If you like to see joyous animals, this is an event to remember!  If you're in the area, it's a must-see.

Jer, Rochelle, Owen, and Grandpa John may look cold, but we all had the warmest hearts imaginable to see those cows so delighted.  From Easter-bunny hopping to playfights, full-out racing and many more shenignans, it's a joy-filled day!

Hope your Easter was just as happy as those cows!  💗💖🩷

And your Thread Baskets are a hoot. Who but you would have ever come up with that...Amazing!
The Spring Turnout looks like a lot of fun I wish I were closer. Then I could give you a hug and join the fun.
Best wishes to you and big hugs. Deann

  4. Great to see you all having such a good time. I like the idea of the Farm shop, fresh Icecream lovely. My obsession with the collage grids is making me want to get hold of your gorgeous papers and rip them up, they would be great for a collage design. Pleased you liked mine too. Have a great weekend, hugs Angela xXx

    1. :D We'll have to make a paper trade...I know these will get ripped up for collage (and more) and I think yours are just brilliant!!

  5. Adding black really makes those papers pop. And who could get bored with circles?
Enjoy your spring beginnings as we head into our autumn slumbering. Although the grass here sleeps during the summer (i.e. it goes brown and crispy in the sun) and perks up again round about now.

    1. Black is just so punchy, isn't it? It's hard to stop with it once one gets started! I'm thinking of you and your part of the planet heading into autumn...you'll be watching for every sign of green perkiness there! Happy autumnal colour to you, my friend!

  6. Hello dear friend, first of all, I apologize for my delay. I've been extremely busy these past few days and I've fallen way behind in my life as a blogger and creator. I hope everything will calm down a little and I'll be able to get back on track.
I'm glad you had a beautiful and joyful Easter surrounded by those you love and cherish.
I'm sure you'll know what to do with all these circles without going around in circles; you're a resourceful and imaginative woman. I can't wait to see what you create.
I wish you all the best in your studio and beyond.
    Kisses from here!

    1. No apologies required, Sim - having a life outside of creativity is definitely allowed. I hope that things settle down for you and that stress is not a part of your life path right now.

I'm still pondering the circles and working on the one sheet of them...planets? pebbles? potatoes? We'll see what the Muse has in store, no doubt!

And winging the best in life back to you - may joy, fun, and deep abiding calm prevail! xo
