...again always. I've been working on my larger journal this week, moving from page to page
And one of the side tables holds more inserts to be added - I'm a firm believer in fat, FAT, FAT journals.

Using your scraps to combine black and bright colours is a wonderful idea, Win! And I LOVE your spread "who ate my cookies"! So fun! My craftroom is in chaos too as I just received the new furnitures I ordered and now I need to be organised! Have fun with Ruth, my friend. The gessoed panels seem challenging!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mia, and now I'm definitely looking forward to catching up on your posts and seeing your new furniture and organization! :D
DeleteWhat a marvellous journal Win!
ReplyDeleteI love the colours and compositions, each page is another treasure!
Thanks, Sim - I so love working in journals for the opportunity to try new and interesting designs. It's just great fun!
DeleteI didn't eat the cookies ... honest!
ReplyDeleteLove the play with cut-outs. They add interest and surprise to a page with their mix of colours and peeks at things to come.
Looks like you're definitely ready for some colour splashing with those pristine panels. I'm sure they won't stay white for long :)
Tracy, that's what everybody says - nobody will own up to the disappearance. :D
DeleteI'm having fun with the cutouts, and suspect there will be more in play as I move from journal to journals.
And I can hardly wait to get rid of all that white on those panels - but first, some texture and more gesso! ;-)
You know I'm obsessed with bits of paper and those triangular bits are brilliant! Wonder what you've got in mind, shopping maybe, how exciting. Hope you and Ruth have fun too. Happy creative week, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteI loved playing with the triangles...when I cut them out they were brightly patterned on one side and black gessoed on the others, so there were lots of ways to use them. Have a great week, Ang!!
DeleteI love black with brights too. Such a great contrast! Looks like you and Ruth are having/going to have fun ! Enjoy !
ReplyDeleteCorrie x
We had a blast, as always, Corrie...I'm amazed at the process as it evolves, and am learning tons! ;-)
DeleteHi, Win! My crafting space is so small now that it is always in chaos--when I leave it. But, I cannot create in chaos, so the first thing I do when I return is clean up and put everything away--even if I know I am going to use it in a few minutes. When I can't see it, it doesn't bother me, but when I can, that bit of OCD kicks in!
ReplyDeleteLove your large journal. The cookie layout reminds me of the childhood query, "Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?" Made me smile remembering.
That last paragraph made me grin, Kay - I remember that query very well. I always refused to answer, given that I was often the culprit! :D
DeleteI'm into working small at the moment, but I can see the appeal in working large as well! Just go with the flow!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Zsuzsa - going with the flow is the best mantra ever when it comes to creativity, isn't it?!
