... with the editing feature both on the phone and computer, and having some fun with that small odd-sized piece I started last week. The piece is 5 1/4" x 8 1/4".
I rather like the look of the cropped 'Silverpoint' here -
it's just as attractive to me as the coloured version, even though it loses some of the magical garden mood.
And the dramatic cool version adds a different vibe altogether.
The vertical sensation of the 'Noir' look has some great impact, too.
And given that I've been down with the granddaddy of all colds, it's a great way for me to play without going too far from the couch, and who could resist that? I'll be back next week, and hopefully there will be 'real' studio time involved. Meantime, do catch me up on your doings in the comments!
A wonderful chance to delve into computer art. I also vectorized a watercolour painting this week. I enjoy it for the simplification of shapes. Something I am always trying to achieve while painting.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing that work on Facebook, and could tell that you had fun playing with it...your tech skills just keep rising!!
DeleteStill collaging and painting at ArtSpace. Just finished a cold wax workshop. I love all the different mediums I am trying.
DeleteI hope you feel better soon, some folk have had it for weeks.
DeleteGreat to hear you're having so much fun at ArtSpace, Gay! Nothing like trying it all, I'd say.
DeleteAnd I've heard the same about this cold....and am determined to punt it immediately. :D
I love it, love it, love it. What a great effect. Of course I'm all for the color version. Number 3 is my personal favorite it has just the right color balance for me. What a fabulous way to show off your ancestors.
ReplyDeleteSpring is here I hope your getting some lovely sunshine. Have a happy week. Hugs, Deann
I'm liking the warmth of that third one as well, and that's a good thing as it's closest to the original. Sunshine is sporadic here, and not nearly as summery as Mom's friends have in the photo...we live in hope. :D May your spring be bringing the best of the season to you. xo
DeleteYou certainly have been playing and what great results you clever lady! Happy creating, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela, and right back to you!! xo
DeleteI hope you're feeling better soon, Win!
ReplyDeleteI love the halo effect on the sun in the black and white versions - very dramatic - and it's amazing how different the mood feels when you alter the colour balance. All in all, there's nothing 'unreal' about that studio time as there is a lot to take in and learn from in these experiments.
Thanks, Tracy - I'm sure my body is working diligently on a healing!
DeleteI love the drama of the black and white, too, but the cropped version in the third photo is defintely my favourite...I suspect the original will get a trim. :D
