...and closer. I'm wondering whether you're in that zen mode because you've got it all together and ready to go, or are you frenzied and wondering if it will ever be done?
The beauty of this time of year is that it doesn't really matter. The baking will be finished, the big meal will come together regardless of how many are involved, and still there's time for play in the studio, even if it's a bit haphazard.
I realized that I'd not cut any snowflakes this year so that was definitely on my agenda - it's a 65 year tradition at this point. None of this boring white stuff for me, though - these babies have got some colour to them. 😉
As always I admire the rich colours, textures and playfulness that is so much a part of your work. May you have a fabulous, creative holiday Win!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura - and the best of the season and new year back to you!
DeleteAmen...I've got my list and I'm checking twice and wondering what I forgot to write down. lol. If I had as many projects as you my dear I would be pulling my hair out.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you and your family for Safe and Happy, Healthy Holidays. And thanks for your friendship and love. Big Christmas Hugs
from here.
Playing catch up on all my comments and lovely, as always to see yours. Wonder why and how they all arrived so late?! Christmas crazies with Blogger, perhaps? :D Sending heaps of best wishes, love and happiness for the new year, my friend. xo
DeleteI am hoping that when I finish clearing everything away that I might get out a jigsaw. I love them and bought several during the lock down and only opened one though I don't mind as it means I must have kept busy with out them Lol! Loving your projects today and your little snowman is so cute too. Take care, stay warm and have a very happy and creative weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteHope you got time to get to a jigsaw over the holidays. I have two of those snowmen, purchased one for each child when they were under 10 years old. They still love, them and so do I. xo
DeleteA delight to see John with a puzzle and also the textile card behind Santa!
ReplyDeleteYou know that's a favourite card of mine, Eileen - it'll be there long past Santa time! xo
DeleteHappy Christmas to you and John! Looks like you're busy as usual with a million things on the go, but nice to see you have time to stop and do some puzzling, too. As you say, things will get done. Or they won't, and the world won't end. I think I'm zen, but only because my brain has switched into autopilot for this last week before the big day - two days at work frantically selling books, 3 church services, and origami angels to install. At least I've wrapped the 80 books for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI am agog at your list of things completed -origami angels, 80 wrapped books and all. I hope the first week of the new year was a truly zen time for you. xo
