It's getting closer...

...and closer.  I'm wondering whether you're in that zen mode because you've got it all together and ready to go, or are you frenzied and wondering if it will ever be done?

The beauty of this time of year is that it doesn't really matter.  The baking will be finished, the big meal will come together regardless of how many are involved, and still there's time for play in the studio, even if it's a bit haphazard.

I realized that I'd not cut any snowflakes this year so that was definitely on my agenda - it's a 65 year tradition at this point.  None of this boring white stuff for me, though - these babies have got some colour to them.  😉

I'm still playing with my paint shirt, although the mending bits have not yet come into being.  Where are those elves when you need them???

The pile of tags was shrinking, so I got started on some more,

although getting sidetracked was definitely in order this week, so the pile did not grow by much.

Somebody put out a puzzle, and you know what kind of a trap that is...hours may have been lost there.

So while I do some more baking, cutting and puzzling, I'll let Santa say hello and goodbye as we roll towards the big day.

Happy last 10 days to Christmas for you - may all your tasks be creative, fun and done on time!

  3. I am hoping that when I finish clearing everything away that I might get out a jigsaw. I love them and bought several during the lock down and only opened one though I don't mind as it means I must have kept busy with out them Lol! Loving your projects today and your little snowman is so cute too. Take care, stay warm and have a very happy and creative weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx

    1. Hope you got time to get to a jigsaw over the holidays. I have two of those snowmen, purchased one for each child when they were under 10 years old. They still love, them and so do I. xo

  5. Happy Christmas to you and John! Looks like you're busy as usual with a million things on the go, but nice to see you have time to stop and do some puzzling, too. As you say, things will get done. Or they won't, and the world won't end. I think I'm zen, but only because my brain has switched into autopilot for this last week before the big day - two days at work frantically selling books, 3 church services, and origami angels to install. At least I've wrapped the 80 books for the giveaway!
