...at this time of the year is truly amazing, and I've been trying to remember for days to take my phone along when going walkabout. Thank goodness I did, because I captured a smidgeon of that colour for you.
And just in case you think I've totally neglected the studio, this shot will show that's not the case. It occurred to me this week that it's less than two months to Christmas, so card-making was surely required. It's full on now and the chaos is explosive. How will I find time to clear a table for pumpkin decorating tomorrow? I've promised John that we could drip wax crayons with abandon, but it's obvious there's no space for it!!
I guess I'd better go make some room. Have a great week, and Happy Halloween!
One minute you think there's loads of time to start Christmas cards and the next minute we realise that actually we don't. I've cleared away most of what I weas doing to start the C cards and I have a plan with tissue paper, sparkle spray.....well it's a start anyway. The leaves look stunning against the dark green. That could be a great starting point for a Masterboard, love it. Take cafre my friend and have a lovely creative week. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteI can never understand how Christmas can sneak up like that...I look forward to seeing the results of your card-making for the season. Your cards are always stellar. And you're quite right about the leaves...Masterboard start-up for sure!
DeleteThank you for that splash of colour, Win. It's been a very wet winter here, and spring is taking its time. There is green everywhere - incredibly lush compared with the usual scrubby brown with hints of green - but I miss the autumn colours as I adjust again to the change around in seasons down under. Intellectually I know that Christmas is coming and am making preparations for our church services, but my heart is waiting for nights closing in and grey skies...
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the colour - it's a strange thing to think about you being in spring, when we're heading into the cold, dark winter. I'll send some of the grey skies and dark nights wafting to you on the breeze, my friend.
DeleteSuch wonderful photos my friend!!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the first one but they are all very beautiful, you can feel the eye of the artist!
I hope your workshop will soon be able to accommodate all the pumpkins in the garden.
Have great halloween season my friend.
(Did you get my last comment?)
I'm very fond of that first one as well, Sim - the leaf seems to be line dancing. ;-) And we had a great time playing with pumpkins, and there may be more coming. Yes, thanks for your comment...I'm a wee bit behind on the computer these days, so scrambling to catch up with things. Happy week, my friend! xo
DeleteI absolutely love autumn colours as well! The sad thing is, once the leaves start turning, they'll be gone within a couple of weeks! I wish they could last longer. Plenty of time still to make Christmas cards! How did the pumpkin decorating go? I'm eating a spiced pumpkin soup as I write this! Wishing you joy throughout November, Win! Thanks for your visit earlier! xx
ReplyDeleteWe've had a lovely loooooooong fall here this year, Zsuzsa, so the colour has lasted for ages, thank goodness. This week's rain will put paid to that, although those wet leaves are even more intense for the while! The pumpkin decorating was a blast, and more than one Halloween ghoul commented on them, which just amazed me! xo

ReplyDeleteA lovely collection of leaves I can think of so many projects to use those pictures on, I bet you will actually do it.
ReplyDeleteForgive me if I don't get around to commenting for awhile. We have been so busy cleaning up Mom's house, so many things I can't believe it.
Oh well onward and upward. Have a wonderful November. Hugs
Truly, I 'should' stop taking fall photos...I've a stash of them that is hard to believe! 😉 Of course there is no need for you to comment at any time; I know the job you're facing right now, and it's one that requires a great deal of time and consideration. Sending completion thoughts to you, with ease and comfort. xoxox
ReplyDeleteI love the Autumn colours too, Autumn and Winter not so much. I prefer the warmth of Summer. Nature is fantastic ! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLike you, Corrie, I am a Summer Bunny at heart. As much as I luxuriate in the colours of autumn, all I can think about is that winter is on the way. :D
