... to photograph all of the family mini books I created. I'm blaming it on the intense heat dome we've been under for the past two weeks in British Columbia. I did, however, take a shot of the covers, and thought you might like to see them.
If you've not seen John's book from last week, feel free to check it out. If you've reached this far on a picture-heavy post, I salute you for your tenacity. Here's to a fabulously creative week for you!
So beautiful. Did it make any sort of dent in your ribbon and button stash? ;-)
ReplyDeleteStay cool, my friend!
Not a bit, Tracy...those stashes are like my used paper ones. They grow and grow and grow, and I've no idea how that happens. :D
DeleteI bet some members of your family are going to love these and I am in love with those covers. I hope the weather improves for you. I am not a lover of too much heat I mean how can you craft when it's so hot or do anything really. Thanks for the Kind comments over at mine. Have a great week. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela - it was a fun project, and working as a cellar dweller (my studio is half the basement) in the heat is just about perfect! Thank goodness the worst of the heat dome has passed by and we're experiencing 'normal' 33 degree highs now - much better!!
DeleteOne my goodness. Each one is so unique. I didn't realize they wouldn't all be the same size. I love the individual nature of each. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Eileen, while many are started with a single sheet of gel-printed paper, that's not the case for all. I enjoyed the off-sized ones as much as the others, and each feels unique to the recipient, which was the point. Great fun!
DeletePhenomenal, Win! It would have been a huge job photographing each and every page. Perhaps if they have blogs they could show their own journals, but I guess we're the only one's that nerdy LOL. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for your visit. I hope the heat will let up now for you. It's quite pleasant here at the moment, but a heatwave's on the way - probably coming from your direction LOL! xx
ReplyDeleteWe are nerdy, aren't we? It makes me grin to think of how many posts I've done over the past few years...what if I'd just been creating instead of documenting! 😂🤣😅 The heat is closer to normal now (mid-30's) and we're enjoying the respite. The crops, however, have taken a huge beating, and there will be little soft fruit deliciousness available in BC this year. I hope you're not going to get the heat wave to that degree! We didn't really intend to send it that far. 🥵
DeleteFirst of all I apologize for not commenting on your blog often enough. When I do though I am always inspired by your creativity. These little albums are fabulous ! xoxo
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologize, Corrie - there are always too many things to take care of in these strange times! And thanks for the kudos on the mini books - a very fun project!
