DeleteWell done Win, an absolutely delightful post! I loved seeing the work created by these seniors. TAPS is a wonderful program and clearly your workshop & instruction was ace!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura - so loved working with this group! They were so engaged with the whole process!
DeleteWow you really work with some talented folks up there in B.C. Don't you just love the individuality of art so many beautiful pictures alike in medium yet so different in interpretation. I love working with children then you really get some wild and crazy art.
ReplyDeleteWell Winn have a great slice of October this week I hope your leaves are and gorgeous as the ones around here. I'm off to paint my front door. What color you ask... Why Red of course.
Agreed, Deann - the whole group was truly amazing. I loved the way they each took the technique and made it their own. It's a thing about teaching that I love the best.
DeleteRed door? Oh I am SO excited for you!!
Wonderful works! I'm always amazed at the variety of results when you give a group of people the same brief and a pile of materials and let them go. Looks like everyone had fun.
ReplyDeleteSo true, Tracy - it's like a germ of an idea is planted and a whole garden grows! I love that about teaching, and it means I learn a ton, too. ;-)
DeleteGreat post. The participants sure did get into it. There are some happy faces and terrific pieces!
ReplyDeleteThey most certainly did, Alice - I loved to see all the interaction and their wonderful takes on the process!
DeleteThat looks like it was great fun with great results !
ReplyDeleteCorrie x
It sure was, Corrie - loved the whole thing!
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Regine, and thanks for stopping by to comment!
DeleteHow wonderful! It's especially nice to see some gentlemen crafters! I sometimes feel bad that we have hijacked this form of art making and made it inaccessible to men. I see that with my son too - he wants to try it but he feels it's too "girly". Then again, there's Tim Holtz and Andy Skinner so perhaps there's hope for manfolk!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Zsuzsa - the more men the merrier. I often feel like I should get a shepherd's crook and drag them in to the workshops. :D
