There are times when....

...I get creatively jammed.  When that happens, I make a point of unstucking (a Win Word of the Day) myself by literally throwing paint.

Usually, that leads to more controlled experiments,

and oftentimes to something completely unexpected.

If you're wondering where this will all take me, you're not the only one.  I'm supposed to be working on a couple of projects (a mini book and my life story - AKA Family Feud).  Here's hoping the play is a step or two in the right direction.  🤔😉

  1. Of course in the midst of cold winter weather we should throw caution to the wind and throw colour around!

    1. Throwing colour is just one of my favourite things to do - no need for planning, no expectation of a finished piece, but merely the joy of colour for it's own sake. Winter studio play is the best!

  2. Play is *always* a step in the right direction. Your paint flinging is so vibrant and free that I'm sure it will be inspiring you in your *supposed* projects and unstuck you soon :) Have as much fun as you can!

    1. It was a blast, Tracy, and now I'm so unstuck that I have another series on the go. Isn't colour play a pure gift?!

  3. I'm with you Win, just playing with paper, paint and inks to create a Masterboard is my favourite form of therapy with no thoughts of what it will be used for and before you know it....you're back on track. Hugs Angela xXx

    1. That's play personified, Angela (and if I'd had the smarts, I would likely have avoided the thick clumps of paint that I threw 🤣 so they could be used more easily. Happy creating, my masterboard friend.

  4. Heavens to gorgeous sunsets...you should be "Unstuck" after all those beautiful paint throws. I like your controlled experiment. I wish mine turn out that well. Sometimes you just have to start wandering to see where you end up.
This week I wandered to the wrong paint store and now I am repainting almost ever room in my house. Egad what was I thinking.
Love, hugs and best wishes to you my friend. Deann

  5. Splashes of colour that look like splashes of joy!
I can just see you with a few spots of every colour on your cheeks and glasses! Hahaha!
Thank you for these rays of sunshine and laughter, dear friend.
One question: what's going to happen to all those pretty coloured buttons? You've got something in the back of your head, haven't you?
Sweet thoughts and hugs for you.

    1. There's really nothing like paint blobs from one end of the body to another, is there?! 🤣 And goodness knows what those buttons will morph in to, or on...right now the back of my head feels like a jumble of ideas - always good, right? May your week be filled with much more sunshine and laughter, dear friend. 🩷
