...what I've been up to this week. 🤣 Having discovered there is a postal strike in the offing, I've been working like a demon on my Christmas cards. I'm at the stage now where I can start signing them, and addressing the envelopes.
It seems to have taken twice as long this year to get to the final stages, so I suspect my 'quick and easy' design wasn't necessarily what I thought it would be.
Oh, and if you're expecting a Christmas card, and you hear that Canada Post is on strike, that'll be the reason it hasn't arrived. Bless their hearts. 💖
Everyone a masterpiece. You are with out a doubt the most prolific artist I know. You are truly amazing my friend. Good luck with your postal system. They leave a great deal to be desired.
ReplyDeleteAdmiration and love from here. And wishes for all the best things my friend. Big Hugs for you, Deann
Many thanks, Deann - I'm always amazed what one can do with scraps of paper (and how many scraps one can create when in the flurry of making). I've got my fingers and toes crossed for the postal system, and until your card arrives, sending you the maximum amount of 'best things wishes' and hugs for you, too. 💗Win
DeleteThat is an amazing collection of cards, love them and well done. That certainly looks like it's ready to explode, I think if everyone was honest they all have one. I have got to the stage where I need to use up some scraps thast is when I've got round to sorting them, not promising when that will be as there are too many distractions! Although the UK post is not on strike we only seem to get post on certain days, they're up to something I think. Carry on crafting. Hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteI swear that the paper scrap monsters come in during the night and double the contents of that box...it gives me nightmares sometimes. 😮😖
DeleteThat's a strange pattern in your postal delivery...I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us in this before-Christmas-postal-crazies time.
In the meantime, I'm looking forward to see those cards you're working on...such a great background!!
You've been so busy! They look gorgeous. I only hope that the Canadian postal workers get them all delivered on time. I've encountered the delay that can happen when the Canadian and Australian postal systems work together - over twelve weeks for something to arrive!
ReplyDeleteAnd you made me laugh when you said that all that working with scraps has made you want to make more patterned papers. Isn't that always the way? The Gelli-plate comes out and then you're in trouble :)
Trouble indeed, Tracy...I'm putting the choker on the reins as I've NO idea how I'll ever use the paper I've made now, never mind adding to the pile! 🤣
DeleteOh là là, that's a lot of hard work of ants every year, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThese cards all look magnificent and made with all your love!
I'm a bit behind on the web because I'm ill, but I'll make up for it as soon as I'm better.
I don't have a physical design studio, I make do with my virtual studio in a small space, so your beautiful scraps of paper won't be of much use to me, and I'm sorry, they must be treasures, I'm sure.
You are very generous, both in your creations and in your human relationships, I love you very much my friend.
Lots of kisses.
Work indeed, Sim, but it's a pleasure to think of these cards heading out to spread some Christmas cheer.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear that you're unwell - hope you're feeling tip top very soon!!
Your digital work is so outstanding that it is amazing to know that you have a very small work space...if I had any head for technology, I'd switch over. I am definitely a hands on person, though.
Sending you some fabulous hugs and wishes for a great week, my friend, along with healing energy! xo
