It has arrived, and it's a winter wonderland out here. Our across-the-fence neighbour's home looks like a cozy place to be.
The advantage of winter is that I spend more time in the studio, and have managed to finish the ornaments that will enhance the grandchildrens' Christmas presents.
They look pretty spiffy all in a row, right?
Of course, I had so much fun with them, that I kept on tearing paper and creating more 'landscapes' with it.
Goodness knows where these will wind up.
Hope you've had a great week, and are well into high gear for Christmas creativity...can you believe it's just over a month away?
What a wonderful idea to turn initials into works of art!
ReplyDeleteEveryone will know which gift is right for them.
I tried to figure out which ones were for girls and which ones were for boys... If you have both in your grandchildren's set.
It's very pretty and I hope it doesn't get thrown away with the gift wrap :)
Stay warm, the snow is already here... Torn paper landscapes ahead!
We've got a big storm here today.
Lots of sweet thoughts and kisses flying your way.
The O and L were for the two grandsons, and the C for a granddaughter (who is obsessed with pink 😉 ). By now they have 4, 7 and 4 hand-crafted Christmas ornaments, so the collection grows yearly.
DeleteI hope your storm was invigorating and beautiful (although I suspect no snow was involved). Stay warm, safe and healthy, my friend! xo
Yep it's officially Winter it snowed down here too. Beautiful but "yuck" it's such a pain to deal with. Your ornaments are so fun. And THANK YOU for my lovely Christmas card. It has made me appreciate how much more beautiful your art pieces are than I can really see online. You can't see the wonderful colors and metallic glow you have in person. And I have no complaints about the Canadian Postal System...yet
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas creativity my friend. Stay warm and dry. Big hugs from here. Deann
I was most grateful to see the landscaping/snow removal crewturn up this morning as we had a good three inches overnight. Beautiful, but heavy!
DeleteThank you so much for your kind words about the card, and I'm so glad it got out of Canada before the strike hit.
Sending hugs and such appreciation back to you, my friend, along with a cozy winter week!
We've had snow here too which is quite unusual where we live as it's still here and it normally disappears quickly. Loving the present tags they are going to look lovely and the children can hang them up in their rooms too. Pleased you like my cards, just as well really but that's all I'm saying. One minute it's august and the next minute it's December but I think I will have enough cards made soon. Happy creative week. Hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteImagine having your snow stay for a while - most unusual!
DeleteAnd yes, the children enjoy their ornaments, and it makes me smile to see their collection grow year by year. May I live long enough to fill a tree with them.
At the rate you're creating cards, I suspect you're well on the way. Happy creativity to you, as you snuggle in your studio! xo
Well I am starting on Christmas cards. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYou're most welcome...I look forward to seeing them!!
DeleteThat lovely photo of snow was just the thing to bring me a breath of coolness on our 34C day! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the ornaments. So colourful and unique. How beautiful their trees must be.
Glad you enjoy the snow photo...I can understand how one yearns for coolness when the weather gets as hot as 34!! Thanks for the kidos on the ornaments; they are fun to make!
