How is it...

...that summers fly by so quickly?  We're into July already (a month chock-a-block full of guests for us - hooray!) and isn't that astounding?

I've managed to add part of a layer on the large piece

and parts of it are really starting to look interesting.

I keep going back, though, to the initial area of plastic wrap technique, which thrills me to bits.

The other small plastic wrap piece (12" x 12") is still in process,

and I've been playing in my large experimental journal as well.

The beauty of experiments is that they spark more ideas, more creativity, and much more fun!  May your summer studio be crammed full of wild ideas sparking more of them, endlessly.

  2. I love the little black edge you created it looks like it has some kind of ancient writing on it. And your plastic wrap pictures just blow me away, I love it. I could do a whole wall like that (but it would probably be pretty messy).
The picture on the bottom is awesome too. I just love all your unique textures and the colors Wowzah!
Have a wonderful week and take care of you, you are priceless.
    Hugs

    1. That light on dark writing is a favourite technique of mine, Deann...there's something about it that speaks to me of eons of the need to communicate. And I'm with you on the plastic wrap technique although I spent some time wondering whether it could actually be done on a wall. I don't think so. 🤣 The paint needs to be fluid, thrown on a wet surface and allowed to run, then covered with plastic wrap. That could be a pretty drippy and soaky wall. Great for a giggle, although I'm hoping you don't try it unless you're working on level wallboard before the walls go up. Sending massive hugs, and many thanks for your kind comments, dear friend.

  3. I'm with you Win, when I get a bit stuck for an idea I just play with techniques and something usually sparks up. The only thing is that I end up with piles of paper and card. Loving your canvas it just gets better and better. Wishing you a very happy and ctreative weekend. Hugs Angela xXx

    1. Isn't it true that experimentation is the best way to unstick oneself? And of course, what could be better than having a ton of paper and card. 😂 Hugs right back to you, my friend, and thanks for stopping by to comment!

  4. Some great textures on that big panel, Win. Love the 'branches' that corner. And don't you just love pulling off the plastic wrap and seeing what you've created?

    1. I'm with you on that corner, Tracy - that is one of my favourite commercial stencils and it just makes me so happy. As far as the plastic wrap goes, I can hardly get enough of it, given the rush of excitement it generates! It's a thrill. xo
