...of unpacking, and I just had to show you this extraordinary artwork I found in the process:
|
Accidental artwork - packing tape pulled from box |
|
Just to prove I'm not full of it! |
Now, back to the unpacking, and hopefully I can check in next week with a restored studio, 'cause right now it's merely a Palace of Possibility! More truth photos below:
|
Check out these snazzy cabinets; John kindly painted them before we moved, and I'm all over the colour and the possibility of more layers. |
Isn't life exciting?!!!!!
A massive job - good luck Win
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Val - it will all get done, and I love our new digs!!
DeleteOooh, seems to be a nice big place Win! I thought you were downsizing LOL! It's open to all sorts of possibilities! Love the accidental artwork - I was just thinking that the paint marks I enjoy most are the ones on my palette paper - the ones that I could not deliberately create. They always make me so happy! Hope you're settling in well in your new house - such exciting time for you! xx
ReplyDeleteIt most certainly is, Zsuzsa, and while we, too, thought we were downsizing, we actually found a place slightly larger than we had, and most of it in the studio. :D How did that happen, I wonder? Pronoia is my word of the year, and I'm loving it.
DeleteThat's a fantastic sized studio. Hope you're set up and creating again soon.
ReplyDeleteI definitely will be soon, Sarah, and very much looking forward to that!
DeleteWow that packing tape picture is amazing I couldn't create a plant that cool if I tried.
ReplyDeleteHooray your half way there and your craft room looks amazing, I can see many hours of fun happening in that great space...ROCK ON.
Isn't it just, Deann - I was just gob-smacked to see it. I got chills in a 28 degree heat wave. ;-) And I can hardly wait to get organized in the studio...it's going to be a blast!
DeleteLook at that Palace of Possibility - so much space! And I LOVE the printed filing cabinets. They make me want to paint the grey ones in our dungeon. I’m thinking green through turquoises to blue - like a peacock, or the waters of Grassi!
ReplyDeleteThe filing cabinets are going to be so much fun to play with...I can hardly wait to get started. ArtFoamies here I come! And peacock or Grassi Lake, it's going to be an awesome job when you get yours done...you go girl!
DeleteOh I am impressed with your new huge space for art! Have fun organizing all and wow you even found stunning art by accident! You are a true artist - art is everywhere for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the nice comments you always leave for me on my blog even though you haven't much time now! I so appreciate this!
Sending hugs, and power for all and LOVE
Susi
Isn't life wonderful, Susi? I just love how that 'painting' showed up in the midst of what was a very chaotic day. And I love stopping by your blog; you provide such a wealth of inspiration!! Massive hugs, my friend. xo
DeleteWhaouh! What a great place.
ReplyDeleteSpace and liberty, all what we love, don't we?
And this accidental artwork is a marvel! An awesome bookmark indeed!
Good job for a chance.
Happy unpacking Win!
Isn't it, Sim? I can hardly wait to get organized in the studio. It's most exciting, and I already have more space than I can use, which means new supplies, right?!!
DeleteHow exciting Win, your new art space looks quite a bit larger than your last one. That's a beautiful patterned tape pull!
ReplyDeleteIt seems huge right now, Laura, with tons of space. Of course I don't have tables and chairs for guests in there yet, but that will come. I'm looking forward to our first play date!
DeleteThat packing tape art work is amazing. I am surprised your eyes even caught it with all the focus on moving. Can't wait to see the studio. It looks huge and lovely!
ReplyDeleteI know, Eileen - I was stunned to see that in the midst of unpacking madness. What a great reminder to unpack the studio. :D
DeleteGreat artwork!!! I love your space, it looks very big. I can’t wait to see what you’ll make with the artwork in your nice new space !!! .....or have you thrown it out ??? 😊
ReplyDeleteSo right, Corrie, and the space is going to be a beauty - I'll be able to teach here again, which I wasn't sure was going to be in the cards! While I've not yet thrown the box out, it's on the way, but I've got the use of a high res photo, most certainly!
DeleteWow, what a fabulous space! Definitely a palace of possibility. It takes a special sort of mind to find those accidental artworks - you have to be on the lookout for beauty everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best in your new home and a swift settling in.
I love it that accidental beauty is everywhere to be found, and this was a particularly happy find. Thanks for the good wishes, my just-moved-in friend. xo
DeleteWin!! That tape artwork is extrodinary! How cool is that! I can't wait to see what you will do with it- you did save it didn't you?
ReplyDeleteWOW your space is HUGE!! Lucky you! I love the cabinets John painted for you! Yes, more, purple and maybe lime green!
Looking forward to what's next for you!have fun setting up!
Jackie xoxo
It's so awesome, isn't it Jackie? I was stunned to see it. I definitely saved it as a photo, and the box itself still sits in the pile of discarded ones, so there are possibilities still. The space is great, the cabinets are awesome, and now I can play! Life is SO good! xoxo
