Last week, I had an opportunity to engage some of the group (sixteen or so) in a collage fest, and we had a blast. An inter-generational program, the participants ranged in age from 'nearly seven' to goodness knows what. We cut and tore strips and circles and outrageous shapes into a garden that could have rivalled Eden, I suspect.
Can you tell this happened on St. Patrick's Day?
and everyone who participated had their own unique take on things.
this time with houses. We're thinking the results will be Crazy Creston.
looks like you all had a blast Win and weren't you clever to remember to take photos!
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely fun, Val, and I was so glad I remembered to take the camera!
DeleteIsn't it wonderful how art can connect people across all ages and walks of life! Lovely collages full of fun, colour and texture!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Zsuzsa - it is truly the ultimate connector between all ages. It was a great afternoon in so many ways.
DeleteWONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteThe smiling faces (especially on the children) are magical. It must be so uplifting to be a part of that energy.
It was so much fun to see everyone enter so quickly into the spirit of play, and with such great results all 'round!

DeleteOhhhhhhhhhhhhh Win - what a treat this post was to see. I have been trying to get here for days to leave you a comment dear girl. YOU are SUCH and inspiration. You have the biggest heart on the planet (in my mind)! It means so much to me to see you teaching, and sharing, and loving like you do. You are touching lives in a great way. So loved reading this. Big Hugs to you... XXj.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Joi; your comments are always so welcome and affirming. I so love encouraging creativity in every direction. It seems to me that if we spent more time 'arting' and less time fighting, the world would be a much better place.
DeleteIt looks like everyone had a wonderful time, Win, and your role is certainly not without its own reward! Go you! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo true, Kay - it's a delight to spend time in play with these people!
