The Christmas crazies...

...have me by the tail, so this will be short and only slightly sweetened by cookie dough (no photos available, though).

I've been out in the sunshine (we had an hour or so of it this week) and caught this lovely leaf-bare mountain ash berry fest against that blue sky.  What a gift!

I've been working on a large card (14" x 11" when folded) for the Swan Valley Lodge staff in the Adult Day Program.

They are such wonderful caregivers, and John so much enjoys his time there.

We'd be hard-pressed to manage this terrible disease without their heartful service.

And I promise that the box of chocolates will be full when this is all packaged up, but the temptation is massive, may I say?

Sending Christmas vibes your way as I speed over to your posts to see what's happening on your end.

  1. An hour of blue sky isn't much at all!
It's the same at my house. I'm glad I have a wood-burning stove, it helps.
Your photo is beautiful, you have a good eye.
As for the Ferrero Rocher chocolates, I noticed them just after enjoying looking at this magnificent greeting card.
    It made me laugh!
I send you back good vibes, warmth and love, my dear friend.

    1. We've not had much but rain here this past week, and the flood advisories are definitely on. There is a bit of blue today, though, and that always lifts the spirit!

SO appreciate your lovely comments and your beautiful posts, Sim - big hugs heading your way! xo

  2. The BIG card is a winner and such a reminder to thank the people who help us throughout the year.

  3. I love that there is someone else besides crazy me that finds joy in the small things like Mountain Ash Berries. With me it's the few little brown leaves still hanging on to the small branches outside my window.
Your cards are wonderful because you put your whole self in your work. And I am so glad you have a good place to help you care for John. It makes all the difference.
I wish you all the best my dear friend and chocolate too. Big hugs from here. Love, Deann

    1. There is something so beautiful in late fall, and catching these lovely snippets before the snow really flies is a treat (and so are the lush green lawns brought on by the copious rain!).

The day program that John attends is a gift in our lives - we are beyond grateful!.

Chocolate thoughts sent right back, along with a massive basket of the world's best of everything. Thank you for being you.
