is a time for unpacking boxes, sorting, storing and getting back to 'normal' - HA!
This week I've been in finishing mode too, with a painting done (another on the Dark Side),

And with just over four weeks left until Christmas (did I say that out loud - OH NO), I can tell it's time to get in the creativity mode. Do you make all your gifts? Do you have a ton yet to do? How's your holiday season shaping up? Please let me know in your comments, and feel free to add your website and/or blog to let our readers know too!
Perfect altered pieces...wow!No -- no stress for me-- don't need to make or buy any presents - since we don't celebrate with gifts. Our daughter gets one.. but she got her new Iphone ---so no surprise for her as well - ..
ReplyDeleteI don't like any stress at christmas.. had it so long as I was a bookseller.. hard Christmas- time for all the people that are engaged in trading .

Susi
Glad to hear you're not in stress mode for Christmas, Susi - after being in trade for a while, it can get to be a time of year that one shuns!
DeleteGreat projects, Win, and all of them on the "dark side" - elegant looking, I would say, and mysterious. Loving all the elements you used for assemblage. The watch is way too cool!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Zsuzsa - they were all fun projects. I can't remember where the watch came from (so many people save & gift things to me), but I knew it would be perfect somewhere!
DeleteThree great works, Win! No way to choose a fave as each is unique in its own right. I love the unexpected elements you draw from your life, from your home, from your table. I feel privileged to view these works! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Kay - it's such fun to create I wonder how anyone could take a miss on making things!
DeleteLove your steampunkery and wonderful altered art bottle you combine the most wonderful and interesting details...keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deann - I'm so enjoying the 'steampunkery' fun! And for those of you who've not seen Deann's work, DO click on her and follow through to her posts on The Whimsy Asylum blog...beyond delicious!
DeleteYou always make such interesting lovely things. Simply awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan - love my life!
DeleteAll the cool stuff Win! Yes, I do make gifts for people I know will appreciate them. No I have not started! I have agreed to this crazy challenge of doing art journal pages everyday of November and filming them for Youtube! I had no idea how consuming that would be. So my plans for things I was making for gifts are on hold until Dec. 1 :(
ReplyDeleteI've been watching your posts and YouTube - I know how much effort the videos alone would take, Shel, so congrats on a job well done. And happy creating come December! :D
DeleteLoving the gold crackle on that bottle, Win.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fabulous, Tracy? That's Kroma Crackle, made here in Canada. It takes a while to dry but well worth the effort!
DeleteStunning projects, Love the canvas!
ReplyDeleteGroetjes Karin
Thanks, Karin...just can't get enough of the dark side these days. :D
DeleteWhere ever do you find the time to do all you do?!
ReplyDeleteWin, your creativity and pieces amaze me! love those colors on that bottle- yummy!! And your "dark" canvas is gorgeous!
gifts-? made?
ugh! I'm still thinking! heehee
xo Jackie
That's the beauty of being 'retired', right Jackie? Time for everything! Thanks for the comments - glad to hear I'm not the only last minute Nelly on the gift end of things! :D xo
DeleteWin, there's going to be more than a few smiling faces when these gifts get unwrapped!
ReplyDeleteI marvel at all the texture and detail......
Thanks, Laura - I surely hope so! I get so much enjoyment from the process, however, that it doesn't much matter about the rest of it...playtime is eternal and wonderful.
DeleteWow Win, what beautiful pieces, these are gorgeous! Have a fab weekend, Sue xx
