Rarely...

...do I get a chance to play with other artists, so when I do, it's a treat.  A recent visitor to the studio was Lynne Mizera, who brought me this lovely ATC as a gift:

Thank you Lynne!

I'm a huge fan of Artist Trading Cards, and of course putting Lynne's gift in my book led me to looking,

 and looking,

 and looking

at other cards in the book.

What a feast for the eyes

are these miniature works of art.

 Like baseball cards,

 the 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" format is delightfully tiny,

yet can range from whimsical,

 to abstract

to profround.

Because I no longer live in a large centre where I can attend trading sessions, I'm looking to do so online.  Are you a fan?  Would you like to trade with me?  If so, please email me to let me know your snail mail address.  I'd be so happy to trade with you; I just love getting artwork in the mail (and mailing it out, too!).

  1. A few years ago Maureen Cameron tried to set up an ATC session in Creston and no one was interested - that's Creston for you - lol. Have fun Win.

  3. A great collection of ATCs Win! I didn't realize Lynne lived near you! How wonderful that you were able to meet up! I'd love to swap with you, but I haven't got any at the moment. I'll have to wait for that creative spark to hit me! Great that you got one of Angela's too - I'm the lucky recipient of one of her triptychs! Hope you have a great weekend!

  5. Wonderful ATCs .. I participated in online Swaps and even JAM ATC Swaps for about 3 full years.. it was super fun but it was too expensive for me because of the postage. So I stopped after three years.
    Have fun !
    Happy weekend

  8. Wow those are some really wonderful ATCs. I used to make them myself before I discovered and became addicted to Photoshop. Now it is just too easy, inexpensive and fun to do my art digitally. Thank you for all your kind comments on my blog, I enjoy creating art and it is so rewarding that others like yourself enjoy it too.

    1. I'm with you on that, Jackie - although I'm somewhat of a baseball fan, the thought of collecting those cards has never once occurred to me. ATCs, on the other hand, have me salivating.
